OSHA 500: Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry
Become qualified to present effective safety and health training programs about hazards to at-risk workers on construction sites. This course emphasizes learning about and protecting workers from the hazards involved in construction work based on OSHA standards. Course participants are briefed on effective instructional approaches and the use of visual aids and handouts. This course authorizes the graduate to conduct both 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Outreach construction safety and health courses and to issue cards to participants successfully completing these courses. Construction CFR included in course. 2.8 CEUs. (Prerequisite: successful completion of an OSHA 510 course and a minimum of five years of experience in construction safety.)

OSHA 502: Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers
This course is designed to update those OSHA Outreach construction trainers who have completed the OSHA 500 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry; this update is required every four years to keep a current training card. Authorized trainers may take the OSHA 502 anytime before their OSHA 500 authorization expires. They may even take the OSHA 502 up to three months after their authorization has expired. Should they exceed this three month grace period, the OSHA 500 must be retaken to reinstate their trainer authorization. This class updates trainers on new and revised OSHA standards, policies, and compliance initiatives; new training methods and materials are also explored. Construction CFR included in course. 2.1 CEUs. (Prerequisite: completion of the OSHA 500 Trainer Course.)

OSHA 2045: Machinery and Machine Guarding Standards
This shortened version of #2040 familiarizes the student with various types of common machinery and the related safety standards. Guidance is provided on the hazards associated with various kinds of machinery and the control of hazardous energy sources (lockout/tagout). The course presents an approach to machinery inspection that enables participants to recognize hazards and to provide options to achieve abatement. These hazards include mechanical motions and actions created by points of operation and other machinery processes.

OSHA 3095: Electrical Standards
This shortened version of #3090 is designed to provide the student with a survey of OSHA's electrical standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment. Topics include single- and three-phase systems, cord- and plug-connected and fixed equipment, grounding, ground fault circuit interrupters, and safety-related work practices. Emphasis is placed on electrical hazard recognition and OSHA policies and procedures. Students will receive instruction on safe and correct use of their electrical testing equipment. Prerequisites: All OSHA personnel must have completed Course #2030 or have equivalent training or experience. Other Federal Agency or Department personnel: Course #2005, #6000, or #6010 or equivalent. This course is available to noncompliance personnel only. Prerequisites: 21(d) State Consultants: #1500 Basic Onsite Consultation program. Other Federal Agency or Department personnel: Course #6000, or #6010 or demonstrate equivalent knowledge of the OSH Act, procedures, and standards.
